Approved extra work is ready to invoice.

The work between the lines

A small request.
An unplanned afternoon.

The project starts with an agreement. Then the little extras arrive. Without a record, it gets harder to say what changed, what it costs and who approved it.

Make the change visible before you do the work.

“Can you also add…”

A new feature outside the original deliverables.

“Just one more revision…”

Another round beyond the agreed revision limit.

“Can we include this too?”

Extra work that needs its own price and decision.

From agreement to invoice

One clear path for extra work.

Keep the contract, scope, request, scope check, change order, client approval and invoice connected.

  1. 01

    Save the agreement

Upload the contract or statement of work. Keep amendments alongside the original.

  2. 02

    Define the scope

List deliverables, exclusions and revision limits, with the contract wording behind them.

  3. 03

    Check client requests

Log the request, compare it to the scope and record the result and evidence.

  4. 04

    Price the extra work

Create a change order with its description, price and schedule impact.

  5. 05

    Capture approval

Share the change order with your client, then record their decision before you begin.

  6. 06

    Invoice approved extras

Turn approved, unbilled change orders into invoices and track payment status.

A workspace built around scope

The agreement and the extra.
Always in context.

Contracts & structured scope

Save contract versions and amendments alongside deliverables, exclusions and revision limits.

Scope checks with evidence

Record requests as in scope, out of scope or unclear. Keep the reason and contract quotes with the decision.

Persistent project history

Return to the original agreement, later requests and their related commercial records in one project.

Your assistant. Your workspace.

Use BillableCue from the tools you already work in.

What is BillableCue?

BillableCue is a workspace for freelancers and agencies to keep contracts, project scope, client requests, change orders and invoices connected. It helps you document when a request goes beyond the agreed work, so you can price it and record approval.

Is BillableCue an invoicing platform?

It creates invoices from approved change orders, supports business branding, tax and payment details, and tracks invoice and payment status. You can print or save an invoice as a PDF to share yourself. It does not process payments, email invoices or replace accounting software.

Does BillableCue include its own AI?

No. BillableCue does not run its own AI model. You can connect a supported ChatGPT or Claude account to work with your records. The assistant does the reading and reasoning; BillableCue stores records and applies validation and workflow rules.

Can I use it without ChatGPT or Claude?

Yes. The dashboard lets you manage clients, projects, contracts, scope checks, change orders and invoices manually. Connecting an assistant is optional.

How is work judged to be outside scope?

Compare the request with your saved deliverables, exclusions and revision limits. Record the result yourself, or ask your connected assistant to assess it with contract evidence. BillableCue validates saved contract quotes against the contract text; it does not independently make an AI judgment.

Can I create change orders and capture approval?

Yes. Create a draft, add the extra work, price and schedule impact, then finalize it for approval. Share it with your client through your existing communication channel and record their approval or rejection in BillableCue. There is no client portal or built-in approval email.

Can I invoice approved extra work?

Yes. Choose approved, unbilled change orders for a project to create a draft invoice. Issue it when ready and record payment when received. Invoice calculations and payment status stay linked to that work.

Do I need a credit card for the trial?

No. Available Solo trials require no credit card and never charge automatically. Current trial duration and plan details are shown in pricing.

What happens after the trial?

You automatically continue on Free with the full core workflow within its current active-project allowance. All records remain available. Archive or complete projects, or upgrade, to resume changes if usage exceeds that allowance.

Can I invite my team?

Team member invitations and collaboration are coming soon. Today, each workspace has one owner. Team, Business and Scale offer unlimited active projects; member capacity is reserved for future collaboration.
